What does the Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) consist of?

The Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) is specifically structured to provide immediate support to firefighters in distress. The RIT's primary purpose is to execute rescue operations for any personnel who become trapped or incapacitated while managing an incident. This necessitates having a minimum of two fully equipped individuals who are trained and prepared to enter a hazardous environment and perform rescues.

This team must be ready to respond quickly, which includes having the appropriate gear readily available, communication equipment, and training specifically tailored to rescue scenarios. This readiness is crucial since every second counts in potential rescue situations.

The other choices reflect various support roles but do not align with the RIT's primary objective of direct intervention and rescue.
